XPeng L03 priced from $49,990 in New Zealand, including range-extender
XPeng has set New Zealand pricing for its L03 coupe SUV, with a battery-electric entry model and a range-extender version both opening at $49,990.

XPeng has priced its L03 coupe SUV from $49,990 in New Zealand, with the same starting price buying either a battery-electric model or a range-extender version. The four-model line-up was announced for local buyers in September, with pre-orders opening the following day.
The rear-drive Standard Range is $49,990, while the rear-drive Long Range is $54,990. At the top of the battery-electric range, the all-wheel-drive Performance Ultra is $64,990. The PowerX Long Range, which uses a petrol engine as a generator while its electric motor drives the wheels, is also $49,990. Prices are before on-road costs.
XPeng quotes WLTP electric ranges of 440 to 520km for the battery-electric models, depending on version. The company says the Long Range can charge from 10 to 80 per cent in about 20 minutes on a suitable DC charger. Its range-extender model has a quoted combined range of 956 to 1,017km, but that figure uses the brand’s test-cycle claim and will depend on conditions.
The L03 is a fastback-style SUV with a 15.6-inch centre screen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a head-up display and vehicle-to-load capability. Equipment varies by grade. XPeng says advanced NGP driver assistance is planned for 2027 and is currently undergoing local road testing; it is not part of the L03’s confirmed launch equipment across the range.
An XPeng New Zealand representative told Auto Trader that first arrivals were expected in November 2026. Delivery timing can change, so buyers should check availability and final equipment with the local distributor before ordering. The pricing announcement makes the L03 a notable new entrant in the sub-$55,000 electric SUV space, while the PowerX version offers an alternative for drivers who want electric drive without relying solely on charging access.
